Tammy is co-founder, owner and CEO of Energy Efficiency Design & Development, Inc. She has spent most of her work life involved in various fields including payroll, accounting, insurance and banking. Beginning in 1999, she took the position of administrative assistant for DK Construction in Van Buren. After graduating high school, Tammy attended college at the University of Central Arkansas. She lives in Van Buren with her husband Doug.
Doug is co-founder, owner and COO of Energy Efficiency Design & Development. His vision was to establish a unique educational and training program for energy efficiency and weatherization industries.
In 1999, Doug co-founded Knierim Enterprises, Inc. dba DK Construction, holding licensing for General Contractor Commercial/Residential and Municipal/Utility.
In 2009, Doug became involved with utility companies to help develop and implement energy efficiency programs in Arkansas and Oklahoma, which continues today. Doug’s first business, DK Construction has worked exclusively for utility companies since 2009.
Doug attended Memphis State University and Arkansas State University where he studied business marketing and management.
Doug has worked in the construction industry for the past 35 years.
Rick is a partner and the Training Coordinator at Energy Efficiency Design & Development (E.E.D.D.).
Rick has been delivering training to adults for over twenty-five years.
Rick previously taught in the building science department at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. He was an adjunct trainer at Ozark Technical Community College and Pulaski Technical College
Rick teaches more than a dozen subjects including; Blower Door, Pressure Pan, CAZ, Duct Blaster, Building Science Basics, HVAC Basics, Introduction to Infrared, Zonal Pressure Diagnostics, ASHRAE 62.2. Rick also teaches the Residential Energy Professional class.
Rick is an OSHA Outreach instructor for the 10 & 30 hour classes for the Construction and General Industries.
Rick has been interested in alternative energy and energy efficiency since he installed his first solar panels on his home in 1982.
